One home in Soroti. A commitment across Uganda.
A Ugandan-led non-profit headquartered in Soroti City and working to bring health, prevention and empowerment closer to communities across Uganda.
A home base in Soroti, a commitment across Uganda.
I-HOPE Initiative Uganda is registered and headquartered at Plot 2926, Block 7, Aminit Cell, Madera Ward, in Soroti City. From this office, our team and trained volunteers work with communities and partners to deliver health outreach, prevention education and empowerment programmes.
Teso is an important base for our work, while our mandate allows us to respond to needs across Uganda where capacity and resources make it possible.
We exist because health, safety and income are rarely separate problems for the families we work with; so our programs are designed to meet them together, in one visit, under one tree, in one afternoon.

Local knowledge, participation and ownership shape our work.
Our vision, mission and principles.
Healthier, safer and more resilient communities.
We pursue equitable access to health information, preventive services and empowerment opportunities that contribute to sustainable social and human development.
Bring practical solutions closer to people.
We advance community-based initiatives, advocacy, partnerships and capacity-building that strengthen families’ ability to prevent disease, improve health outcomes and build livelihoods.
Participation, evidence and systems.
We work alongside government, civil society, development partners and community structures toward shared outcomes.
Eleven commitments guide our programs.
