About Grace Amongin

Grace Amongin is a Monitoring and Evaluation and Social Work professional with over six years of experience in data management, project coordination, community engagement, monitoring, reporting, and digital information systems. Her professional background combines social development experience with growing technical expertise in information technology, positioning her to contribute an evidence-driven perspective to organisational leadership and programme oversight.

Monitoring, Evaluation & Data Management

Grace has served as a Monitoring & Evaluation Assistant supporting national-level health programme information systems, where she has been responsible for the management and quality of programme data. Her responsibilities have included maintaining activity databases, coordinating logistics for field activities, compiling monitoring reports, conducting data cleaning and verification, supporting quality assurance processes, maintaining data backups, and responding to M&E-related technical inquiries.

Earlier in her career, she worked as a Data Entry Clerk, where she gained experience in project information systems, source-document verification, data quality, statistical summaries, reporting, confidentiality, and information management.

Information Systems & Evidence-Based Decision-Making

Grace has strong technical competencies in database management, reporting, data quality assessment, data validation, and Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.

She holds a Bachelor of Information Technology, building upon her Diploma in Project Planning and Management and Certificate in Social Work and Social Administration. This combination of social development, project management, monitoring and evaluation, and information technology provides a valuable foundation for supporting data-informed organisational decision-making.

Contribution to I-HOPE Initiative Uganda

As Board Member & Treasurer of I-HOPE Initiative Uganda, Grace contributes expertise in programme monitoring, information management, data quality, accountability, reporting, community engagement, and financial oversight.

Her contribution supports the organisation's commitment to ensuring that programmes are guided by reliable information, measurable results, sound documentation, and continuous learning, while her role as Treasurer strengthens financial stewardship and accountability at Board level. She brings an appreciation of the importance of quality data in understanding community needs, tracking programme performance, demonstrating impact, and strengthening organisational accountability.

Grace is committed to supporting I-HOPE Initiative Uganda in building effective, accountable, evidence-informed, and community-responsive programmes that contribute to sustainable improvements in the wellbeing of the communities the organisation serves.
